From a young age, Rebeca displayed a heart entirely given to God, radiating joy and peace to those around her. She loved nature, music, and friendships but, above all, she cherished her relationship with Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Rebeca’s life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a painful and aggressive bone cancer, at the age of 12. Despite the suffering she endured during her treatments, Rebeca never lost her cheerful spirit. Instead, she embraced her illness as a way of uniting her life more closely to Christ’s suffering. Her hospital rooms became places of peace and joy, where nurses, doctors, and fellow patients found inspiration in her courage and serenity.

She spent her final years offering her suffering for others, writing letters filled with encouragement, and spreading the love of God to everyone she met. Rebeca’s trust in God’s plan, despite her intense suffering, turned her life into a testimony of hope. Her favorite words were, “I offer it to Jesus,” showing that even in pain, she found meaning and purpose in loving God and others.

Recognized today as a Servant of God, Rebeca Rocamora Nadal’s cause for beatification reflects her heroic virtue and radiant example of youthful holiness. She is a powerful intercessor for young people, especially those facing illness, and for anyone seeking to find joy in suffering.
