Sr. Clare Crockett was a vibrant young woman from Derry, Northern Ireland, whose life took a radical turn from worldly pursuits to a deep, joyful love for God. Born in 1982, Clare initially dreamed of a life in acting and entertainment, seeking fame and fulfillment in the world’s applause. But in the quiet of her heart, God was calling her to something far greater.

While on a pilgrimage to Spain, Clare had a profound encounter with the love of Christ Crucified. This moment changed the direction of her life forever. Leaving behind her rising career and the comforts of the world, she entered the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother, dedicating her life entirely to Jesus and His Blessed Mother.

Sr. Clare became known for her contagious joy, playful spirit, and fiery love for God. Whether teaching children, serving the poor in Ecuador, or leading others in prayer, she radiated the peace and happiness that can only be found in total surrender to Christ. Her life was a witness that holiness is not dull or distant but alive, joyful, and deeply fulfilling.

In 2016, at the young age of 33, Sr. Clare gave her life while helping save others during a devastating earthquake in Ecuador. Her sacrifice was the final, loving gift of a life poured out for God and His people.
