Oil Dedicated to St Blaise (Patron for Ear, Nose and Throat) – Christmas Oil
St. Blaise was a bishop and doctor who lived in the 4th century in Armenia. He was known for his holiness and his care for the sick. St. Blaise was a compassionate man who often healed people through his medical skills and prayers. He is said to have performed many miracles, including curing a boy who was choking on a fish bone.
St. Blaise was arrested during a period of Christian persecution, and despite being warned to renounce his faith, he remained steadfast in his belief in Christ. He was eventually martyred for his faith.
St. Blaise is the patron saint of ear, nose, and throat problems. His association with these areas of health comes from the many miracles he performed, particularly related to the throat and respiratory illnesses.
People pray to St. Blaise for healing from throat infections, earaches, nose problems, and other related health issues. He is especially honored on his feast day, February 3rd, when the tradition of the “blessing of the throats” is observed in many churches. St. Blaise is a symbol of God’s healing power and intercession for physical ailments.
