Daniel’s Story of Hope

We were expecting our baby when my wife, Danyella, went into labor and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. While our baby was healthy and soon able to come home, Danyella faced complications. The doctors discovered she had a heart problem and would need heart surgery.

While managing everything—caring for our baby all night, holding down my job during the day, and visiting my wife every evening in the hospital—I felt utterly exhausted. One evening, I shared my story with a kind man I met. He listened and then told me about St. John of God’s Oil, the Patron Saint for heart problems. He asked if I would bring it to my wife, and of course, I said yes.

The next evening, the man kindly dropped off the oil. I brought it straight to the hospital in Dublin, and Danyella was so grateful. Together, we said the healing prayer and she blessed herself with the oil. She found it very comforting and used it daily.

Three weeks later, after a successful surgery, Danyella was finally home, and we couldn’t be happier.

Thank God for that kind man who introduced us to St. John of God’s Oil, and thanks be to God for St. John of God’s intercession.
