Oil Dedicated to St Agnes of Montepulciano
St. Agnes of Montepulciano, born in 1268 in Tuscany, Italy, lived a life of profound holiness from her earliest years. At just nine years old, she entered a convent, setting her heart completely on Christ. By the time she was a teenager, she had been entrusted with leading her community, a testament to her wisdom, purity, and deep spiritual maturity far beyond her years.
Her life was marked by extraordinary mystical gifts. Agnes was known to have experienced visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Child Jesus, and angels. During her times of deep prayer and adoration, she received remarkable graces that filled her community and all who knew her with awe and encouragement. Despite her fragile health, Agnes radiated joy, kindness, and spiritual strength.
Throughout her life, St. Agnes worked tirelessly to build up her religious community, encouraging her sisters in prayer and works of mercy. She was known for her simplicity and for living in joyful poverty, placing her complete trust in Divine Providence. After her death in 1317, God affirmed her sanctity by preserving her body from decay. Her incorrupt body, which remains intact centuries later, continues to inspire the faithful, reminding us of the eternal promises of God.
Our Irish Blessing Oil dedicated to St. Agnes of Montepulciano is prayerfully prepared in remembrance of her purity, her trust in God, and her intimate union with Christ. Each bottle comes with a prayer card seeking her intercession—for childlike trust in God’s will, for perseverance in prayer, and for those longing to draw closer to Christ through simplicity and love.
Lovingly prayed over by the team at A Blessed Call to Love. Offer a gentle spiritual reminder that the incorruptible beauty of holiness far outlasts the frailty of the human body.
May the life and witness of St. Agnes of Montepulciano lead you to deeper prayer, greater trust in God’s providence, and joyful surrender to His love. Like her, may you find peace in simplicity, strength in weakness, and eternal life in loving God with your whole heart.
