Oil Dedicated to St Bona of Pisa (Patron for Flight Attendants)
St. Bona of Pisa, born in 1156, lived a life dedicated to guiding and protecting travelers on their earthly journeys while constantly seeking her eternal home with God. From an early age, Bona experienced deep mystical encounters with Christ, inspiring her to dedicate her life to service, humility, and compassion for others.
Bona became a Third Order Augustinian and took on the role of guiding pilgrims along the dangerous and demanding routes to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. In a time when travel was filled with hazards—bandits, treacherous terrain, and illness—Bona became a beacon of courage and care. She made the arduous journey to Compostela not once but ten times, serving as both leader and protector of countless pilgrims seeking spiritual renewal.
Her dedication to ensuring the safe passage of travelers and her loving service to those in her care led the Church to recognize her as the patroness of flight attendants, guides, and travelers. In modern times, where flight attendants safeguard and serve millions of travelers crossing the skies, Bona’s life reminds us that every journey, whether by foot or by air, is watched over by divine providence and the prayers of the saints.
Our Irish Blessing Oil dedicated to St. Bona of Pisa is prayerfully prepared in honor of her tireless care for the safety and well-being of travelers. Each bottle comes with a prayer card seeking her intercession—for flight attendants, pilots, travelers, and all those entrusted with the safety and comfort of others during journeys. It is also a beautiful spiritual gift for anyone preparing for a pilgrimage, trip, or transition in life.
Lovingly prayed over by the team at A Blessed Call to Love. Offer a spiritual source of comfort and protection. It serves as a reminder that God accompanies us wherever we go and places holy protectors along our paths.
May the intercession of St. Bona of Pisa protect you on your journeys and inspire you to serve others with kindness, attentiveness, and joy, knowing that all our travels lead us closer to the heart of God.
