St Gianna Molla healing cream

St Gianna Molla healing cream is dedicated to one of our modern saints.

Saint Gianna Beretta Molla (4 October 1922 – 28 April 1962) was an Italian pediatrician. When she was pregnant with her fourth child, Molla refused both an abortion and a hysterectomy, despite knowing that continuing with the pregnancy could result in her own death, as it in fact did.

She was canonized as a saint of the Roman Catholic Church in 2004

Tradition of oils/creams

The tradition of anointing with sacred cream is very old indeed. It is used in sacraments and also as a devotional practice. The sick person is invited to apply a cream on the part of their body they want to be healed.  As they do so, they are asked to pray to whomever the cream is dedicated to. The Irish blessings creams do not have miraculous power.  It is God who has the power to heal.  Applying the cream while praying are important ways for us to express our faith in God’s power. Moreover, by doing so we place our trust in God.

The Irish Blessings creams are dedicated to the Holy Spirit, Our Lady, and the saints. The creams come through prayer.  They are placed on their designated altars for a period of prayer before being sent out. Also, all the creams have their own individual essential oil fragrance. The creams are of therapeutic grade.
The jars of cream going out are accompanied with a prayer card. In addition, they are personalized for the saint to whom the cream is dedicated to.
