Description
St. Peter, originally named Simon. Was a simple fisherman when Jesus called him to be a disciple, renaming him “Peter,” meaning “rock.” He chosen by Christ to be the visible head of the Church on earth. Becoming the first pope. Despite his human weakness—most notably his denial of Jesus during the Passion. Peter repented with a sincere heart and lovingly restored by the risen Christ. His transformation from fearful follower to bold preacher is a powerful testament to the grace of God’s mercy.
Peter went on to lead the early Christian community with courage, preaching the Gospel, performing miracles, and enduring persecution. He eventually martyred in Rome, crucified upside down, feeling unworthy to die in the same manner as his Savior. His legacy endures in the Church today, and his life reminds us that God calls and strengthens ordinary people to do extraordinary things for His kingdom.
This oil is prayerfully dedicated to St. Peter and has been touched to a 1st class relic, making it a precious and meaningful spiritual gift. It is accompanied by a prayer card featuring a shamrock—symbol of the Holy Trinity and a quiet echo of Ireland’s faithful heart.
This oil is an invitation to prayer and reflection. May it encourage you to trust God’s mercy and walk in faith, no matter how many times you must begin again.
St. Peter, pray for us, that we may follow Christ with courage and a heart open to His mercy.
