St. Pio, more commonly known as Padre Pio, was born in 1887 in Italy. From a young age, he had a deep spiritual life and a strong devotion to God. Padre Pio became a Capuchin friar and was known for his prayer life, humility, and the extraordinary experiences he had, including the stigmata—wounds on his hands, feet, and side that resembled those of Christ during His crucifixion.

He spent much of his life in the small town of San Giovanni Rotondo, where he became famous for his healing abilities, his powerful prayers, and his capacity to help others spiritually and emotionally. Padre Pio was also known for his ability to read hearts and offer guidance. Despite the stress and suffering he endured in his life, he remained a symbol of peace, faith, and trust in God. He passed away in 1968 and was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 2002.

St. Pio is considered the patron saint of stress and anxiety. He was deeply compassionate toward those suffering from emotional or mental stress, often offering counsel and prayers to help ease their burdens. He also encouraged people to trust in God’s love and to find peace in His presence.
