Description
Oil Dedicated to St Francisco 2 (Patron for Captives)
St Francisco 2 (Patron for Captives) from A Blessed Call To Love, Ireland.
Saint Francisco Marto, one of the three shepherd children from Fatima, Portugal who reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917. Francisco, his sister Jacinta, and their cousin Lucia often prayed to for various causes, including sickness.
However, to the best of my knowledge up until my last training data in September 2021, neither Francisco nor any other saint named Francisco officially recognized as the patron saint against sickness in the Catholic Church.
There are numerous patron saints of various types of illnesses and health-related issues. For example, Saint Peregrine recognized as the patron saint of cancer patients, Saint Dymphna invoked against mental and neurological disorders, and Saint Camillus the patron saint of the sick, hospitals, and nurses.
It’s important to note that while people may pray to any saint for intercession on various issues, the official designation of a patron saint typically associated with some aspect of that saint’s life or martyrdom that has relevance to the cause.
If you need information on a different Saint Francisco or if there have been updates or changes after September 2021, I would recommend checking the most recent resources or the official announcements from the Vatican.
