St Jeanne Delanoue Healing Oil

St Jeanne Delanoue Healing Oil from A Blessed Call To Love, Ireland.

Jeanne Delanoue (1666-1736) was a French Catholic nun and founder of the Congregation of St. Anne of Providence, a religious order dedicated to serving the poor and sick.

Delanoue was born in Saumur, France, and grew up in a devout Catholic family. She was deeply committed to her faith from a young age and often visited the sick and needy in her community.

At the age of 24, Delanoue decided to become a nun and entered the Ursuline Order. However, she forced to leave the order due to health issues, and she returned to her hometown of Saumur.

In Saumur, Delanoue saw the suffering of the poor and sick firsthand and felt called to do something to help them. In 1696, she founded the Congregation of St. Anne of Providence, which focused on caring for the sick and elderly, providing education to children, and offering spiritual guidance to those in need.

The congregation grew quickly, and soon Delanoue. Her fellow sisters were caring for hundreds of people in Saumur and the surrounding areas. Delanoue herself served as the congregation’s superior for over 30 years. And she worked tirelessly to expand the order’s reach and impact.

Delanoue’s work recognized by the Catholic Church, and she was beatified by Pope Pius XII in 1947. She later canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1982.

Today, the Congregation of St. Anne of Providence continues to operate in many countries around the world. Carrying on Delanoue’s legacy of compassion and service to the poor and sick.
