Isabel Mendez Herrero Healing Oil (Servant of God)
Isabel Mendez Herrero Healing Oil (Servant of God) from A Blessed Call To Love.
The Servant of God was born on August 30, 1924 in Castellanos de Moriscos, province of Salamanca. In the parish church of the town she received her baptism on September 14 of that year and her confirmation on October 28, 1928. She is the second of the five children of Isidoro Méndez Domínguez and Victoriana Herrero Marcos.
Her parents, well-to-do farmers, form a profoundly Christian home and in the house the Rosary is prayed with the workers. She also learns Elizabeth from her early years of Christian charity.
Elizabeth is a normal girl. There is nothing special about her, but she shows a desire to please everyone, a heart that vibrates at the suffering of others, a tenderness towards the needy. After her First Communion, she goes to the sacraments frequently and becomes very pious.
She already points out in germ some traits that characterize her life of faith: special love for the Eucharist and Mary Immaculate, love and service to the poor, obedience.
As a member of the Marian Congregation, he attends catechism classes in the Los Pizarrales neighborhood on Sundays. She is also part of the Student Mission Crusade. Isabel’s work day is full. But she still has time to lend a hand to her classmates who come to her because she draws and paints very well.
She is a very cheerful, beautiful and elegant girl. She has a contagious laugh of pure sincerity, she always looks happy, betraying kindness. Willing to make any sacrifice for others. In summer she participates with her gang of friends in excursions and picnics.
