Santina Campana Healing Oil
Santina Campana Healing Oil was born in Alfedena (L’Aquila) on February 2, 1929. From an early age she learned to love Jesus above all things and at the age of 7 she offered herself “victim” for the religious vocation of her sisters and priestly brothers.
Santina one of the youngest, she had to undertake the effort, certainly not light, of the work to done at home and outside, to gradually replace the brothers and sisters, who moving away to respond to God’s call (there was also a herd of 15 cattle and a flock of 150 sheep).
On 11 June 1936 at the age of seven she received her First Communion and from her ‘Diary’, to which she confided all her feelings in her short life, we learn that she wrote: “Jesus let me die young and let me dress in white with trimmings red “.
Santina almost fifteen years old, became the animator of the groups of fugitives. Even if in the meantime she struck by severe pleurisy with widespread pain and high fever. A disease that accompanied her throughout the period of hiding; the groups managing to overcome the front safely, under a violent bombardment, reached the allies where they received assistance.
When the war front moved towards Northern Italy. On 26 June 1944 the inhabitants of Alfedena were able to return to their almost destroyed village. The Campana family also resumed the interrupted activity in the small agro-pastoral company, rebuilding the bombed buildings.
