Her relics discovered in the catacombs, and soon after, miracles attributed to her intercession. Devotion to St. Philomena rapidly spread throughout Europe and beyond, earning her the reputation as the “Wonder Worker” due to the numerous miraculous healings and interventions attributed to her.

In particular, St. Philomena became widely venerated as the Patron of Babies.
