St Raphael Healing Oil (Patron for Healing)
St Raphael Healing the Archangel serves as the patron saint of healing. Unlike most saints, Raphael never a human being who lived on Earth. Instead, he has always been a heavenly angel. He declared a saint in honor of his work helping humanity.
As one of God’s leading archangels, Raphael serves people who need to heal in body, mind, and spirit. Raphael also helps people in health professions, such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and counselors. He also a patron saint of young people, love, travelers, and people seeking protection from nightmares.
St. Raphael one of the seven Archangels who stands before the throne of God. He also one of only three angels whose names have been revealed through Sacred Scripture. His name in various translations means “God heals,” “Divine Healer,” or “Medicine of God,” for he received his healing mission from the Lord. He the patron saint of travelers, blindness, all bodily ills, doctors, nurses, medical caregivers, and joyful meetings. His feast day now celebrated along with St. Michael and St. Gabriel on September 29.
St. Raphael is generally believed to be the “angel of healing” mentioned in John 5:4 who came to the pool of Bethsaida. St. John explains that an angel of the Lord descended at certain times, stirring the waters, so that those who washed in them were healed.
