St Peregrine Laziosi, once known for his rebellious spirit and opposition to the Church. Underwent a profound conversion that led him to a life of humility and service. He joined the Servite Order and committed himself to prayer. Penance, and ministering to the sick and poor. His transformation from defiance to deep devotion is a powerful witness to the mercy and grace of God at work in human hearts.

Later in life, developed cancer in his leg, and when amputation seemed inevitable. He spent the night in prayer before a crucifix. Tradition holds that Jesus appeared to him and miraculously healed his leg. While we do not claim healing through his intercession, many turn to St. Peregrine as a patron of those suffering from cancer and serious illness, finding comfort in his story of endurance, faith, and divine compassion.
